How can i change my yahoo email adress id?

kk well lately ive been getting 2 much spam and i wanna get a new id on my email so i can stop getting it, so, how can i change my yahoo id on here? ive already tried too look for the answer on yahoo central something and stuff, but no luck, so if any one know, PLEASE TELL ME!!!!!!!! ty,

You cannot change your ID name or address.


You can cancel the old account and open a new one with the desired information. Or simply open a new account with a different name and password, and use both.


However, instead of getting rid of your account, you can control the spam, and keep all you information as is. You will spam again at a new account eventually.


First, try not to open any of them, that only makes them send more and more to you.


Check them and click on 'Spam,' this should stop those addresses from being delivered to your inbox.


Use your spam filter and block address.


Look for the 'Options' link at upper right corner of mail screen and click on it





Options/ mail options / spam preferences


make sure spam guard is on, click on save changes





Options /mail options / blocked addresses


Enter the E-mail address you wish blocked and click on 'add block'


you will never get mail from that address again


This should help you to control your spam

the best thing to do is just to make a new account and start over and add your contacts

just mark it as spam

i had to do that too.
Reply:The easiest way to do it is start a new account and close your present account. I've had to do it several times over the years. I' get so much junk mail that yahoo has trouble filtering it out.
